The Secrets for a Smooth Loan Approval
If you are on the road to buying your future home, it will probably require taking out a home loan. For a smooth loan approval, we’ve created a list of do’s and don’ts for keeping your home buying process on track.
What experts recommend you should Do:
- Continue to make your mortgage or rent payments
- Stay current on all your existing accounts
- Keeping working at your current employer
- Keep your same insurance company
- Continue to live at your current residence
- And continue to use your credit as normal.
Some things not recommended to do during your home loan approval process… AKA the Don’ts.
- Do not make any major purchases, such as a car, boat, jewelry, furniture etc.
- Apply for NEW credit even if you seem pre-approved
- It is recommended you don’t pay off charges or collections without talking with your loan officer first
- Close any credit card accounts or change bank accounts
- Max out or over charge your credit cards
- Do not start major home improvement projects that will cost you a lot of money
- Finance elective medical procedures
- Or open a new cell phone account.
